Five Quick Tips:

Go-to coffee spot

Perc Coffee

Best place for a cocktail

Kimble House or Ticonderoga Club

Kid-Friendly Activity

Trip to Atlanta Zoo or Aquarium, The Works is also great for kids (and adults) – Scofflaw Brewery is there and has lots of kid friendly outdoor space!

Favorite place to get pampered

Kindred Studio for a fabulous facial or Rosefinch for a massage

Favorite spot for a Scenic Stroll

Piedmont Park boasts beautiful green space right in the heart of midtown. The Beltline is also great (and runs through Piedmont park!) if you want to be more amongst the hustle and bustle. I also love wandering through neighborhoods – Atlanta has so many beautiful homes and green space, it is easy to get lost in the streets thinking up your next dream house!

What makes Atlanta special to you?

I grew up in a small town about an hour south of ATL. It is so fun to be back in GA but in a lively, bustling city that still feels homey and close to family. ATL is a big, spread out city that is rapidly growing. I’ve lived here for 10+ years and still feel like there are always new neighborhoods to discover.

What are your go-to brunch spots in Atlanta?

Victory Sandwich Club, Recess, Muchacho, Breaker Breaker, Staplehouse. Love a spot with fun outdoor seating!

Favorite dinner restaurants?

Amano for italian, Kimble House for cocktails, small plates, and raw bar, Bocco Lupo for creative american-italian, The Optimist for seafood, Marcel for steak, Delbar for mediterranean, Banshee for creative small plates and great cocktails (two words: pepperoni butter).

What are your top hotel recommendations?

Hotel Claremont for a boutique feel and great location, Kimpton Shane in Midtown or Thompson Hotel in Buckead. Claremont and Thompson both have fun rooftops for sunset cocktails!

Favorite local boutiques, vintage stores, etc.?

Odd Mclean for fun and quirky home decor, Lucy’s market for quick gifty items, Westside Provisions district for a curated mix of shopping. If you want a full antiquing experience, plan your trip around Scott’s Antique Market (visits once a month) where you can easily spend a day+ antique hunting!

What are your can’t-miss recommendations for friends visiting from out of town?

I’d recommend starting your day with pastries from Evergreen Butchure and Bakery (the kouign-amann and almond croissants are musts!!). Then head to the Freedom Park farmers market where you’ll undoubtedly find more pastries along with beautiful flowers and produce. Spend the early afternoon strolling the beltline (we live on the eastside of town so I know that section best, but the beltline circles the entire city and there are lots of great pockets to explore). I recommend hitting one of the foodhalls along the beltline for lunch (like Ponce City Market or Krog Street Market) then head to a brewery like The Three Taverns Imaginarium or Elsewhere Brewery to hang and enjoy the outdoors for the afternoon. Another great option is The Works on the westside which has a big foodhall and Scofflaw Brewery. Bonus, it is great for kids!

Favorite activities for an ideal day in the sun?

Atlanta comes alive when it is a beautiful sunny day! We love hitting a fun restaurant for lunch and strolling the beltline for an afternoon cocktail. There are so many fun restaurants, bars, and breweries along the trail it makes it easy to location-hop and soak up the sun!

A touristy attraction that you’d actually suggest?

The Aquarium and the Zoo are both wonderful, especially with kids!

Any other Atlanta hidden gems you’d be willing to share?

We love downtown Decatur! It is about 6 miles east of midtown but has amazing food, a cute downtown square, usually lively street music, shopping, and fun breweries. You could easily spend a day there – get Bside bagels for breakfast, explore around town, Victory Sandwich bar for lunch, hit a brewery like Inner Voice or Three Taverns in the afternoon then finish the day at Kimble House for dinner and S.O.S tiki bar for a fun night cap!

How would you style Sunshine Tienda for a day in Atlanta?

I’d throw on an easy, colorfully printed CROSBY by Mollie Burch dress and finish it off with sneakers, my ST hat, and a fun pair of ST earrings and bangles.

What Makes you Vacation Happy?

There is nothing better than feeling the warm sun on your skin, and enjoying beautiful weather with people you love in an outfit that makes you feel fabulous (hello CROSBY + ST)!
